Bihar Corruption News: Assistant of DCLR Western office taking money. video grab

Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Revenue Department Scam: Government and state level officials are making continuous efforts to end corruption in the Revenue Department, but the situation at the ground level still remains worrying. The latest case has come to light from the DCLR Western office, where a video of an executive assistant taking money is going viral on the internet media.

In the viral video, Rakesh Kumar, Executive Assistant, DCLR Western Office, can be seen taking money in exchange for providing information related to the case number and notice. In the video, he is heard saying, “There are one and a half to two thousand files, where to search.” Meanwhile, a person gives him a folded note in his hand, which he keeps in his pants pocket.

Although Dainik Jagran does not independently verify this video, after it went viral, serious questions have been raised on the department's functioning.

An attempt was made to contact DCLR Western regarding the matter, but he did not pick up the phone. Meanwhile, SDO West Akanksha Anand said that the matter has come to his notice and it is being investigated. Further action will be taken based on the investigation report.

This incident has once again exposed the corruption and lack of transparency prevalent in government offices. Common people are still forced to make illegal payments for their work, which raises serious questions on the administrative system.
