On his instructions, a special vehicle checking campaign is being run across the district, in which immediate action is being taken against any kind of negligence.
In this sequence, an intensive vehicle checking campaign was conducted under the leadership of Sub Inspector Chhaibar Ram and Bipin Kumar Palta late Thursday evening at Karpuri Chowk of Jhajha police station area. During this, two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles were thoroughly checked.
All the necessary documents including helmet, driving license, vehicle registration, insurance were carefully checked. Challans were issued against those violating the rules without any discrimination. During the investigation, a public representative, who is said to be a city councilor, was also found violating the rules.
When the challan proceedings started, he revealed his identity and expressed his expectation of concession, but the police officers present on the spot clearly said that the law is equal for everyone. After this, a challan of eight thousand rupees was issued against the concerned councillor.
After this action, the message was sent to the common people that no one is above the law. The citizens have appreciated the impartiality and strictness of the police.
At the same time, the administration has clarified that this type of campaign will continue in future also. According to the police, during this period, a total challan of about Rs 20 thousand has been collected from dozens of drivers.
