JNN, Bhopal. The government has decided to take strict action against IAS officer Santosh Verma, who made rude statements about Brahmin daughters.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has instructed the General Administration Department to send a proposal to the Government of India to dismiss Verma from service.
On this, the department has prepared to prepare fake and forged orders for promotion from the State Administrative Service to the Indian Administrative Service and send a proposal on the basis of pending criminal cases in various courts. Besides, orders have been given to remove him from the post of Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Department and post him in the General Administration Department and relieve him unilaterally with immediate effect. They will have no work here.
Before this, in the meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee held in the Ministry on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, it was decided to stop promotion to the post of Additional Secretary in the light of the ongoing cases against Santosh Verma.
It is noteworthy that Verma had got promotion by forging a court order in the case pending against him. When a complaint was made against this in the General Administration Department, the judge's signature was found to be forged in the investigation conducted by the police. He also remained in jail in this case, due to which he was also suspended.
The promotion of IAS cadre taken on the basis of fake documents and fraud is wrong, hence a proposal to dismiss them from service is being sent to the Government of India.
Also, the departmental investigation against Verma for the allegation of obtaining integrity certificate on the basis of forged and fake documents is at the final stage.
In the present case, the reply given by Santosh Verma to the show cause notice letter has not been found satisfactory. He is continuously making statements without dignity. It was also decided to issue charge sheet to him.
