Iran's 1 crore Riyal is equal to India's Rs 826.

New Delhi. There are many countries in the world whose currency is stronger than the Indian Rupee. These include dollar, euro and pound etc. There are also some countries where the currency is much weaker than the Indian rupee. These include rupees of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Indian rupee is only 3-4 times more expensive than the currencies of these countries. But there is one country where India's rupee is several thousand times stronger than its currency.

Which country is this?

The country we are talking about is Iran. Let us tell you that Iran's currency is very weak. At present, 1 Indian rupee is equal to 12,109.63 Iranian Rial. In this way only Rs 100 becomes equal to 12.10 lakh Iranian rupees.

826 रुपये 1 करोड़ ईरानी रियाल के बराबर

If we look at 10 million Riyals of Iranian currency, they will be equivalent to only a few hundred rupees of India. Yes, India's Rs 825.79 is equal to Iran's 1 crore Riyal. Actually, the Iranian currency has been weak for the last several decades. But in late December 2025, the Iranian economy was plunged into a psychological and financial crisis when the unofficial exchange rate of the US dollar rose to an all-time high of 1.4 million rials.

Currency value decreased by 90 percent

This huge fall in the currency has wiped off almost 90% of the currency's value since 2018. The biggest reason for this weak condition of the currency is restrictions. According to reports, there are many types of sanctions on Iran. As a result, inflation increased and growth weakened. In October 2025, the World Bank predicted that Iran's GDP would decline by 1.7% in 2025 and by 2.8% in 2026.
