Jagran correspondent, Jamtara. 'If he is a Maulana, take him out of the house, if he is a tribal, make him sit inside the house and give him tea…' As soon as this statement of Jharkhand Health Minister and Jamtara MLA Irfan Ansari went viral on social media, the Ulemas of the area got agitated.
On Tuesday evening, people of Muslim community gathered at Lakhnoodih turn of Jamtara assembly constituency of the Health Minister and burnt his effigy while raising slogans against the Minister. The people leading the effigy burning program said in one voice that they do not know how to respect the person whose votes made Dr. Irfan Ansari from MLA to minister. People alleged that if any Maulana goes to their residence for any work, he is scolded. After all, who gave them the right to choose derogatory words for the people of the area? Be it tribal, Muslim or Hindu, everyone's vote is equal. It should not happen that a tribal voter is given the throne and a Muslim voter is thrown out of the house. People present at the spot said that this act of the minister has deeply hurt the hearts of the Muslim community. He said that they were wholehearted supporters of the minister, but their support has been insulted in this way. We are not so cowardly as to silently accept whatever they do. People also said that this video circulated on social media has been viewed by no one else but by the ID of Irfan Ansari. Today, even if the Health Minister is calling it a cropped video, but honestly he cannot call it wrong. He said that today if a Maulana or a person from the Muslim community goes to a minister holding a high position, it is only for some necessary work. Only then do they reach his office or residence. In such a situation, the minister should resign from his post. The protesters said that he has no right to remain a minister. The people of the society strongly condemned this act of the minister. On the spot, former chief Mohd. People from different villages including Shahid, Mustafa, Maniruddin, Zahoor, Jiyaul were present.
