Security at the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi has been beefed up following violent protests in Bangladesh following the death of prominent leader Sharif Usman Hadi, a senior police officer said on Friday.
Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus confirmed Hadi's death in a televised speech, leading to mass unrest, protests, strikes and vandalism across Bangladesh on Thursday night.
"We have tightened the security of the Bangladesh High Commission from Thursday night. No one will be allowed to disturb law and order," the official said.
