Problems of farmers increased due to new rules, crisis in registration and KYC

Samvad Sutra, Kuchaikot (Gopalganj). The new guidelines of the government regarding Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi) and registration have increased the difficulties for the farmers. Despite the continuous efforts of the zonal office, agriculture department and block administration, the registration and KYC process has not progressed as per the target.

Till now, only 22.66 percent of the farmers have registered and only 13.59 percent of the farmers associated with Samman Nidhi have completed KYC. There are 37,693 beneficiaries of Kisan Samman Nidhi in Kuchaykot block, who were earlier receiving funds through DBT.

Now mandatory registration of all farmers is being done by the Revenue and Land Reforms Department and Agriculture Department, after which they will get a unique ID, through which they will be able to avail the benefits of other government schemes.

KYC has been made mandatory in the new system, in which registration of land in the name of the farmer and updated rent receipt is necessary. Earlier, applications were approved on the basis of Jamabandi registered in the name of ancestors on ancestral land, but now farmers are facing problems due to Jamabandi.

According to the zonal office, against the registration target of 52,189 farmers, only 8,541 farmers have been registered so far, and only 5,003 out of 37,693 beneficiaries have completed KYC.

Circle Officer Mani Bhushan Kumar said that farmers are being motivated for registration and KYC by running an awareness campaign.

Chyawanprash is a part of every Indian's life, it reduces diseases and increases energy.
