Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. The absence and arbitrariness of senior doctors is taking a heavy toll on the arrangement of the super specialty hospital, which was started with the aim of providing better treatment and modern facilities to the people of the district and surrounding areas. Even after sending a letter two days ago and calling them for a meeting and inspecting the hospital and asking them about their continuous disappearance, there is no impact on the doctors.

Due to continuous absence of senior doctors from the hospital, the responsibility of treatment has fallen on the shoulders of junior doctors and PG students. Which is becoming a problem for the patients also. Even patients who come from far away places to consult specialists are not getting adequate benefits.

Constant efforts are being made to provide better medical facilities to the patients in the Super Specialty Hospital, but due to negligence or arbitrariness of senior doctors, non-availability of doctors in the hospital is raising questions on the system. On Monday, Deputy Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Mahesh Kumar inspected, in which once again the senior doctor was found missing from OPD.

Not only this, two days ago all the senior doctors were written a letter and invited for a meeting to improve the hospital system and take suggestions. No senior doctor attended the meeting scheduled at around 12 noon on Monday.

Despite waiting for an hour after the scheduled time, the doctor did not come to the hospital. Due to this attitude of the doctors deployed in the hospital for the convenience of the patients, the patients and their relatives coming from far away places are facing difficulty and being deprived of treatment.

Senior doctors of all four departments found missing

Neurology, Cardiology, Nephrology and Urology departments are currently functioning in the hospital. Senior specialist doctors are deployed in all four departments, but during OPD, senior doctors remain absent in the premises full of patients. In such a situation, the patients are disappointed and forced to return after getting treatment from junior doctors. It is noteworthy that this hospital is a wing of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital, where the government has appointed specialist doctors. All the employees will remain in dress till January 10.

Taking the absence of senior doctors seriously, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Mahesh Kumar has given written information about the entire matter to JLNMCH Superintendent Dr. HP Dubey. Now clarification is being sought from about ten senior doctors who were absent. Here, the Deputy Superintendent also held a meeting with the operators of the agencies working in the hospital. They were instructed that all the employees should work in prescribed dress, so that they can be easily identified. All agencies have been instructed to provide dresses to the employees by January 10.

Senior doctors were not present in the OPD during the inspection. Two days ago, everyone was given a letter for the meeting, but no one attended. Information about the entire matter has been given to the Superintendent and clarification is being sought from everyone. -Dr. Mahesh Kumar, Deputy Superintendent, Super Specialty Hospital
