The youth traveling in the bus misbehaved with the female conductor of the roadways bus which left from Bijnor depot for Chandpur on Friday morning in the name of taking back the change for the ticket. When he protested, the accused beat up the conductor and the driver who came to save him.

The youth created a ruckus in the bus and got down and pelted stones and broke the glass of the bus. There was an outcry among the other passengers due to stones hitting the bus. The accused ran away after seeing the nearby people gathering. A report of assault has been registered in the case. The police have taken a young man into custody and started questioning.

At around 10 am on Friday morning, a bus from Bijnor depot was going to Chandpur. The bus was being driven by driver Hemant Kumar, resident of Uledha. Rashida, posted on contract, is a bus conductor. She was booking tickets. Six youths boarded the bus near Ramlila Maidan. He gave a note of Rs 500 to get the ticket for Syau.

Rashida gave them the tickets and asked them to sit on the bus, promising to give them the change within some time. But the youth did not sit on the seat and remained standing near Rashida. It is alleged that he misbehaved with Rashida and beat her up when she protested. Driver Hemant Kumar stopped the bus near Chandpur's octroi.

When Hemant Kumar came to save Rashida, the youth also beat him up. The youth got down from the bus making noise and threw stones and broke the glass of the bus. There was screaming among the passengers as stones were hit on the bus. On the other hand, hearing the noise and seeing the nearby people coming to the spot, the youth ran away into a street there.

It is alleged that while leaving, the youth also snatched away the bag containing the money received from Rashida's ticket booking. In which there was about five thousand rupees. On information, police also reached the spot. City Kotwal Ram Pratap said that a report has been registered under the section of assault on the complaint of the victim.

They are also searching for the accused. Action will be taken against them. Amidst all this commotion, the bus got delayed by about an hour. Later, the victim driver and conductor took the bus to Chandpur. On receiving information about the incident, depot incharge Satveer Singh also reached the spot and took information from the victim driver and conductor. The in-charge said that the police have been requested to take action regarding the matter. Along with this, he encouraged the female operator and pacified her by explaining to her. The Roadways Department stands with its employees.
