Jagran correspondent, Jalandhar. There was chaos at the dhaba of councilor Pati Kirpal Pali located at Gadha Chowk in Jalandhar on Friday night when two drunk youths tried to set fire by throwing envelopes filled with petrol and fled from the spot.
The good thing was that the fire did not break out in time, due to which the goods of the dhaba and the people present there were saved. Lucky, nephew of councilor Patikripal Pali, who was present at the dhaba, told that he was sitting at the dhaba at around 9 pm. Meanwhile, two youths riding on Activa reached there and started inquiring about a lottery stall.
misbehavior and abuse of girl
When they were told that they had no information about this, the youth started misbehaving and abusing the girl present at the dhaba. When protested, they had a scuffle and ran away from there. After some time, both the youths returned again, filled envelopes with petrol and threw it towards the dhaba and tried to set it on fire.
After committing the incident, both of them fled from the spot. As soon as the information was received, Police Station 7 reached the spot, inspected the incident site and started investigation. Police station in-charge Balwinder Singh said that the police is scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby so that the accused can be identified and arrested soon.
