But the concerned department runs a campaign against them only for the sake of food supply, due to which the number of illegally running clinics in the area is continuously increasing. In the border area, quacks are running their shops without any degree.
They neither know the correct method of treatment nor have any special knowledge of medicines. Yet the common people are bearing the brunt of their irresponsible treatment.
If the patient gets some benefit then it is fine, otherwise as soon as the condition worsens, quacks get rid of the patient by advising him to go out. This game is going on at Parasamlik, Jhingti, Sekuhani, Ratanpur, Shivtari, Bhagwanpur, Adda Bazaar and other places.
Quacks also have their own medical stores, patients are forced to buy medicines at arbitrary prices. In the name of investigation, people's pockets are being looted in illegally run pathology centres. Chief Medical Officer in-charge Dr. Navnath Prasad said that a continuous campaign is being run against quacks.
