In Meerut, Sikh Student Was Assaulted And His Turban Was Pulled, Threatening Messages Were Sent, Case Filed Against 5 Named And 4 Unidentified Students.

Jagran correspondent, Meerut. A case of assault on a Sikh student and removal of his turban has come to light in Sanatan Dharma Inter College. Caste based words were also used against him. The student's father has filed a case against five named and four unidentified students in Sadar Bazar police station.

Jagdev Singh told that his son is a student of class 12 in Sanatan Dharam Inter College, Sadar. A group of students in the school abuses and beats him every day. Caste based words are also used.

On October 16, five Class 12 students beat him up, removed his turban and pulled his hair. It is alleged that the college principal and teachers were aware of the incident but did not take any action. The accused students are also calling and sending objectionable messages. It is being said that - 'He can never be his equal, hence he should greet him while coming and going.

Sadar Police has registered a report on the complaint of Jagdev Singh. Inter College Principal Arun Kumar said that in the assault case, the school administration had banned the accused student from coming to school after the incident. The accused has apologized and given a written assurance that such a mistake will not be made again.
