Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarnagar. A day earlier, a property dealer who had come to meet his girlfriend along with his friend was murdered and the body was packed in a sack and thrown into the drain.
Injury marks were found on his ears. The police have detained his friend, while the female friend absconded. Police have registered a case against the female friend and unknown person at New Mandi police station and have formed four teams to arrest Rajfash.
30 year old Sanjeev Kumar alias Jeevan, resident of Harinagar village of Purkaji police station area, used to work in property dealing. On Saturday, he along with his friend Deepak, resident of village Harinagar, had come to meet his girlfriend Sonia, who lives in a rented house in Sarwat.
Friend Deepak was parked near the Shiva temple in Sarwat and he himself went to meet Sonia. When Sanjeev did not come out for a long time, Deepak reached Sonia's room.
Sonia said that Sanjeev left a long time ago. After this Deepak also went back to the village. On Sunday morning at 10 am, Dial 112 police informed the police station that an unidentified dead body was found in a bag in a drain near Sarwat. The police got the body taken out.
CO New Mandi Raju Kumar Saav said that the deceased has been identified as Sanjeev. His friend Deepak has been detained by the police.
Sonia is originally from village Harsauli of Shahpur area, she was married five years ago in Shamli. She has three children and her husband died a year ago. Sonia has been living in a rented house in Sarwat for a long time.
She had returned to her room from Harsauli on 30th January itself. One of his brothers, Bhura, runs a crusher in Harinagar. One brother lives in Prayagraj and two brothers live in the village. She has four sisters. Don't have parents.
At present Sonia is absconding. CCTV footage is being scrutinized. On behalf of Sanjeev's father Balveer, a case of murder has been filed against Sonia and an unknown person at New Mandi Kotwali. Investigation is being done.
Four months ago Sanjeev's wife gave birth to a son.
Sanjeev's relatives told that five years ago he was married to Sohanviri alias Sonia, a resident of village Jhabarpur. He has two daughters aged five and three years. Whereas a son was also born just four months ago. Father Balveer does farming at home. Elder sister Geeta got married.
Younger brother Pradeep is a constable in Agra. While the other brother Meenu and sister Minto are employed in the police and they are undergoing training together in Bareilly. There is chaos in the family due to Sanjeev's death. Everyone is in bad condition crying.
