Jagran correspondent, Palwal. A case of assault and robbery of a shopkeeper for asking for borrowed money has come to light in Hasanpur police station area. Police have registered a case against ten people including two women under various sections and started investigation.
The injured shopkeeper has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. According to Hasanpur police station in-charge Dinesh Kumar, Rahul, a resident of Achheja village, told in the complaint given to the police that he has a tire-puncture shop in the village. Arjun, also from the village, brought his driver to his shop to work on the tractor-trolley.
Reached the shop with sticks
The driver asked Rahul to tighten the tires of the trolley. Rahul told the driver that Arjun owed him ten thousand rupees, first he should pay the money, only then the work would be done. On this the driver called Arjun and called him to the spot.
Within a short time, Arjun, Vijay, Bobby, Shobha, Sunita, Jyoti and five-six others reached the shop with sticks, iron rods and other weapons in their hands. It is alleged that as soon as he arrived, he started abusing and assaulting Rahul.
People passing by intervened and saved Rahul. After this, the accused looted a lot of tire-puncture material and ten thousand rupees kept in a bag from his shop and ran away. Rahul also told in his complaint that a month ago also the same accused had attacked his house, when the neighbors had saved him.
