Harun Aslam, resident of Savitri Nagar, Chakeri, has a real estate office at Narwal Mor. Shakeel Ahmed of Aurangabad Sithora used to come here under Sultanpur Ghosh police station of Fatehpur. He claimed to be working in the electricity department. Several months ago he told that there was a recruitment for meter reader in the electricity department.
He is well acquainted with the recruitment officer. If someone wants to get a job, it will cost Rs 2.5 lakh. The victim gave Rs 2.5 lakh to the accused in the name of his nephew's job. After a month, when he sent the appointment letter, it was found to be fake on investigation. He threatened his life and property if he asked for the money back. Maharajpur police station in-charge Rajesh Kumar said that a case has been registered and the accused is being searched.
