Ajay Jaiswal, Lucknow. It seems that more than 68 thousand government employees are not worried about their salaries. If there was any concern, everyone would have given the details of their movable and immovable assets by Saturday on the clear orders of the Chief Secretary.

Due to not giving details of their movable and immovable assets on Manav Sampada Portal, these employees will not get their salary for the month of January in February. The government can also take strict action against government employees who do not provide property details.

In view of zero tolerance towards corruption, Yogi government is very serious about collecting details of movable and immovable assets of government employees.

The seriousness can be gauged from the fact that on behalf of Chief Secretary SP Goyal, instructions were recently given to the heads of departments, heads of offices and government officials that all the government employees should upload the details of their movable and immovable assets on the Manav Sampada Portal by January 31.

Under Rule 24 of the Uttar Pradesh Government Employees Conduct Rules, 1956, it was mandatory for 8,66,261 state employees of the state to submit the details of movable and immovable property till 2025 on the Manav Sampada Portal by January 31.

Nodal officers and withdrawal-disbursement officers of the departments were instructed to stop the salaries of those who did not upload the property details by January 31.

It is worth noting that despite the order to stop salaries, 68,236 state employees did not upload the details of their assets on the Manav Sampada Portal till Saturday night.

Among those who did not declare their assets, the maximum number of 34,926 government employees belonged to the third category. There are 22,624 state employees of Class IV while 7204 of Class II and 2628 of Class I officers. Out of 1612 other employees, 854 have not declared their assets due to which their salaries will also be withheld.

Among the total eight percent of state employees who have not given information about their assets till Saturday, the prominent ones are Public Works, Revenue, Basic and Secondary Education, Social Welfare, Women Welfare, Co-operation, Excise, Food Logistics, Medical Education, Health, Rural Engineering, Horticulture, Livestock, Transport etc.
