Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. As soon as Pakistan's last wicket fell in Colombo, the celebration of India's victory started in Lucknow. The people of Lucknow danced with the tricolor in their hands. Excited cricket fans burst crackers and celebrated. A large number of youth reached Hazratganj chanting Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata.
Everyone celebrated this victory as a festival. India's victory over Pakistan in the World Cup colored Laxman Nagri with excitement. Firecrackers started bursting everywhere. People took to the streets with tricolor flags and expressed their happiness with slogans.
The echo of fireworks on this spectacular victory of India made the celebration more grand. The youth took out bike rallies. Hundreds of people kept raising slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram. People in Hazratganj kept dancing and dancing while reliving the exciting moments of the match.
Cricket fan Akhilesh Mishra said, this victory is a symbol of our pride. Team India won hearts and our celebration is proof of it. Vivek said that India's victory gave an opportunity to celebrate Holi and Diwali together. People also came to celebrate at 1090 intersection, but seeing the promptness of the police, people could not express their happiness. The intersection lights were switched off here. In such a situation, the people who came, left shouting praises of Bharat Mata.
