Indefinite ban on VIP darshan after theft in Thawe temple
Samvad Sutra, Thawe (Gopalganj). VIP darshan facility for devotees at Thave Durga Temple has been completely banned till further orders. This decision has been taken after the recent incident of jewelery theft in the temple. The administration is constantly making changes regarding security arrangements, so that such incidents do not recur in future.
While giving information, Sadar SDO Anil Kumar said that on the night of last Wednesday, 17th December, an incident of theft of jewelery of Maa Durga had come to light in the temple. After this serious incident, the administration has decided to postpone the VIP darshan system as a precautionary measure.
He clarified that VIP darshan will not be allowed until the theft incident is fully investigated and the matter is revealed.
Decision taken from security point of view
The SDO said that this decision was necessary from security point of view. Any new decision regarding VIP darshan will be taken only after the investigation is completed and the stolen jewelery is recovered. At present, the arrangement for darshan for general devotees will continue in the temple, but any kind of special or VIP darshan will remain completely closed.
After the incident, security arrangements have been tightened in the temple premises. The administration and temple management are jointly monitoring the situation. Durga Temple Trust Committee Manager Amarendra Dubey and other employees of the Trust Committee were also present on the occasion and are working in coordination with the administration.
The administration has appealed to the devotees for cooperation. It has also been said that maintain patience during the investigation, so that the matter can be resolved as soon as possible.
