Sports Desk, New Delhi. Germany defeated host India 5-1 in the semi-finals of the Men's Junior Hockey World Cup to reach the final. Germany took full advantage of the mistakes of the Indian team and eliminated the team from the race for the final. India will next face Argentina for the third place. This match will be played on Wednesday. The final match will be played between Germany and Spain.

India's dream of winning the FIH Men's Junior Hockey World Cup after nine years was shattered on Sunday. India last won the Junior World Cup title in 2016. Lukas Kosel (14th, 30th minute), Titus Wex (15th minute), Jonas von Gersam (40th minute) and Ben Hashbach (49th minute) scored for Germany, while Anmol Ekka scored the only goal for India in the 51st minute.

In the other match, Spain defeated two-time champion Argentina 2-1. Spain won a short corner in the 17th minute, which was brilliantly saved by Argentine goalkeeper Joaquin S. Ruiz. Argentina finally equalized in the 21st minute with a brilliantly executed penalty by Juan Fernandez. Whereas Spain scored the decisive goal of the match with Albert Serrahima's goal in the 56th minute. Here Belgium defeated France and made it to the fifth-sixth place match.

India will have to show a better game in the semi-finals of the Junior Hockey World Cup, it will compete with 7-time champion Germany.
