Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. There was stone pelting on number 15097 Amarnath Express going from Bhagalpur to Jammu Tawi via Gorakhpur between Basti and Govindnagar. A passenger traveling in sleeper class was seriously injured due to stone pelting. The passenger's head exploded. When the train reached Gonda station, first aid was given to the injured passenger. The Railway Protection Force team has started investigation.
According to experts, as soon as the train moved from Basti to Govindnagar station around 03:40 pm on Friday, some unknown person started throwing stones. Passenger Shambhu Kumar Suman, traveling in coach number S-3, got injured due to stone pelting.
He was hit on the head by a stone. Other passengers became nervous. There was chaos in the coach for some time. On receiving information from the control room, when the train reached platform number one of Gonda around 04:35 pm, railway doctors provided first aid to the injured passenger.
