Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. Information was given to the passengers at Bhagalpur station on Thursday regarding the use of Railvan App. CMI Phool Kumar and Ram Kumar told about the discount in tickets by downloading the app in the passengers' mobiles. Railways is giving discount to passengers on general tickets till 14th July. 3 percent discount is available on purchasing tickets through the app. Railways is giving discount on paying fare through any digital mode through the app.
The RailOne app is not limited to R-Wallet like UTS Mobile. Till now, while booking unreserved tickets on Railvan app, 3 percent cashback was being given only on payment through R-Wallet. To promote digital payments, now discounts are being given if payment is made through UPI, debit card, credit card, net banking and apps of non-banking institutions.
The beta version of the integrated super app was launched by CRIS (Central Railway Information Centre) in January. It can be downloaded from Play Store or App Store. On Railvan App, unreserved tickets, reserved tickets, platform tickets, train and station related information, grievance system, catering orders, PNR information, train, coach position, real time train inquiry and live status are available at one place.
Before January 2025, there were separate platforms for all railway facilities. Due to which the railway passengers faced some difficulty. Now this facility has been made available at one place. One had to book reserved tickets through the IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) app, check live train status through the National Train Inquiry System (NTES) app, lodge complaints through RailMadad, order food in the train through Food on Track. Along with this, many private apps also have this facility. But the gateway seems to be of Railway ID only.
