Jagran correspondent, Roorkee. In a dispute that took place while playing cricket in Dr. Ambedkar Park in Paniyala village of Kotwali Ganganahar area, a teenager hit a 12-year-old child on the head with a stick.
In an unconscious state, the child was taken to the hospital for treatment, where he died. Police have registered a case against the accused teenager in this regard. The accused is being searched.
Balendra, resident of Paniyala village in Ganganahar Kotwali, told that his son Bhanu (12) was playing cricket with other children in Dr. Ambedkar Park.
During this time there was an argument among the children over some issue. Within no time the altercation turned into a fight. During this, a teenager hit his son on the head with a stick. Due to which his son became unconscious in the cricket field itself.
After receiving the information, he reached the spot along with other relatives. Bhanu was admitted to a hospital in Roorkee, where she died during treatment.
The police have registered a case. Kotwali in-charge Inspector Manibhushan Srivastava said that a case has been registered. The accused is being searched.
