There will be social audit of the land. (Awakening)
Samvad Sutra, Saraigarh (Supaul). The government is continuously making efforts with the aim of accelerating industrial development in the state and providing employment to the local people.
In this series, a social audit is being organized on Tuesday regarding the acquisition of land for the proposed industrial area in Saraigarh block of Supaul district.
This social audit will be conducted in the courtyard of TCP Bhawan located in Saraigarh Bhaptiyahi, where all the land owners affected by the industrial area will get an opportunity to express their views openly.
Under the proposed scheme, it is proposed to set up industrial units on about 250 acres of land in Saraigarh block area. Through this scheme, not only will there be industrial development of the area, but a large number of local youth will also get employment.
The government believes that the establishment of industries will strengthen the economic condition of the area and will also stop migration. The responsibility of social audit of industrial area land has been entrusted to Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change, Patna.
Officials of the institute will be present at the TCP Bhawan at the scheduled time and will hold detailed discussions with the land owners affected by the industrial area. During this time, the problems, suggestions, objections and expectations of the land owners will be listed, so that they can be included in the further process.
Giving information in this regard, Zonal Officer Dheeraj Kumar said that the work of social audit will be started from 11 am on Tuesday. He said that social audit is a completely transparent process, in which the opinion of the affected people is given special importance.
Land owner's views will not be ignored
The zonal officer made it clear that no land owner will be ignored and everyone will get full opportunity to express their views. The zonal officer has appealed to all the land owners whose land is being affected for the industrial area to compulsorily participate in the social audit.
He said that this process is being done only to protect the interests of the land owners, so that no confusion or dispute arises in the future. Consent of land owners, compensation, rehabilitation and other social aspects will also be discussed through social audit. Local people say that if the industrial area is developed properly, it will create new employment opportunities in the area. Small traders, laborers and youth will get work, which will accelerate economic activities. However, some land owners are also apprehensive about their land, regarding which they are preparing to give their opinion in the social audit. It is noteworthy that this will not be the only industrial area in Supaul district. The second proposed industrial area of the district is being developed in Bishanpur Panchayat of Pipra block, where about 248 acres of land has been identified and authorized.
The development of the proposed industrial area in Bishanpur is also expected to give the district a new identity on the industrial map. The administration says that with the development of both the industrial areas, Supaul district will become industrially strong and employment opportunities will increase at the local level.
At present, this social audit being organized in Saraigarh is being considered an important step towards the industrial project. Now everyone's eyes are on what the land owners say about the social audit and in what direction the further process moves.
