Navneet Mishra, Bhagalpur. Interstate bus stand will be built in Goradih. The District Magistrate has constituted a six-member committee to evaluate the land. Officers or personnel authorized by the Municipal Commissioner, Additional Collector Revenue, District Agriculture Officer, Land Reform Deputy Collector Sadar, Circle Officer Goradih, Block Agriculture Officer have been appointed in the committee. Members have been asked to submit their report within a week.
The committee will also meet the potentially affected families and assess the situation. The house and land will also be assessed. The price of land and house will be decided on the basis of the committee report. The social impact assessment of the land has been done by Anugrah Narayan Singh, Director of the Institute of Social Studies, Patna.
Notification regarding land acquisition has been issued by the Land Acquisition Department on 26 November. 10 acres 58 decimal land will be acquired. The process of land acquisition will start in Goradih area for the construction of a new interstate bus stand. Revenue Mauza of Goradih - Agarpur/77, account number - 1230 and other khesra number - 43 and other areas are proposed to be ten acres 58 decimals. The tenant land area is 10.58 acres and the government land is 4.47 acres.
The Urban Development and Housing Department has allocated Rs 11 crore 66 lakh 36 thousand for the acquisition of tenant land. The amount has been transferred to the District Land Acquisition Officer through the bank account by the Municipal Commissioner. After assessment of the land, the list of tenants will be released. Construction of the bus stand will start next year.
Construction will be done with Rs 48 crores
The cost of the interstate bus terminal will be Rs 48 crore. The Central Government has released Rs 48 crore for the ISBT to be built in Agarpur of Goradih block of the district. This amount will be allocated in two phases. In the first phase, the work of preparing DPR will be done along with land acquisition. ISBT construction work will take place in the second phase.
The model of ISBT to be built in the district will be on the lines of Patliputra Bus Terminal and Interstate Bus Terminal located at Beriya in Muzaffarpur. Here, bus facilities will be available for inter-district as well as other states. Apart from this, the roads to reach here will also be easy. The bus stand will be directly connected to Munger-Mirzachowki four lane.
There will also be direct connection from here to the airport to be built at Atgaivinath. This ISBT will have separate platforms for buses running on different routes. Apart from this, it will have other facilities including AC and non-AC waiting rooms, cafeteria, parking for people's cars and bikes.
According to sources in the Transport Department, the ISBT to be built in the district will be equipped with future facilities. There will also be provision for CNG and electric charging points here. Apart from this, tourist information centre, ATM, medicine centre, control room, announcement facilities like railways and green zone marriage will also be present to promote tourism. ISBT will also be more advanced than the ISBT being built in Muzaffarpur.
