Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department's response to the question of MLA Shamim Firdous.

Digital Desk, Jammu. The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday said that there is no proposal under its consideration to provide monthly financial relief to young lawyers who have been in legal practice for more than three years.

This information was given by the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department in response to question number 922 of MLA Shamim Firdous in the Assembly.

Responding to the question whether the government intends to provide financial assistance to young lawyers and if yes, what is its timeline, the Minister said that no such proposal is under consideration at present.

The government further clarified that lawyers are given some kind of help, but giving regular financial help to one category of professionals can lead to similar demands from other professional and technocrat groups, many of whom have licenses but do not get any such help.

The reply said, "This could put serious economic pressure on the government."
