State Bureau, Patna. Senior JDU MLA Narendra Narayan Yadav will also be the Deputy Speaker of the 18th Assembly. His nomination for this post was filed on Wednesday. There has been only one nomination.
Therefore, he will be elected unopposed on Thursday. He was also made the pro tem speaker to administer the oath to the members of the present assembly. In the 17th Assembly also, he was unanimously elected to the post of Deputy Speaker.

Narendra Narayan Yadav is JDU MLA from Alamganj assembly constituency of Madhepura district. Became MLA for the first time in 1995. This is his eighth victory from the same assembly constituency in 2025. He has also been a minister in Nitish cabinet.
