Yogi government is motivating farmers for improved farming
Digital Desk, Jhansi. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is empowering Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) to implement the resolution of doubling the income of farmers. In this series, the Agricultural Science Center located in Bharari, Jhansi has taken a commendable initiative and adopted 10 villages. The Center is not only motivating the selected farmers of these villages for modern farming, but is also taking steps towards making them self-reliant by providing them high quality seeds, plants and fertilizers free of cost.
Agricultural scientists of Jhansi have taken the initiative to divert farmers from traditional farming towards technologically advanced crops. The Center has distributed seeds of special 'Karan Vandana' variety of wheat to the farmers, which is known for its record yield. Along with this, seeds of 'Radhika' variety of mustard have also been given, whose more branches will ensure bumper profits to the farmers.
The special thing is that the improved cauliflower plants prepared by the scientists in the KVK premises have also been handed over to the farmers. Boron fertilizer has been provided to the farmers to increase the fertility of the soil, which plays an important role in improving the quality of the crop.
According to Dr. Aditya Kumar Singh, scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, "Our objective is not only to provide resources but also to provide continuous guidance to the farmers. By inviting the farmers to the centre, they are being taught the tricks of modern sowing and management so that they can earn more profits at less cost." This monitoring by scientists and the training given from time to time is proving to be a boon for the farmers of Bundelkhand.
