It is famous all over the world for its miracles and mysteries. Where is this temple located?

This holy temple is located inside a cave in Malkapur Road/Mangalpet area, 4.8-5 km from Bidar city of Karnataka. This temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The self-proclaimed statue of Lord Narasimha is present in the cave, where a huge crowd of devotees gather for darshan.

Interesting story of Jharasur murder

It is said that after Lord Narasimha killed the demon king Hiranyakashipu, his anger did not subside. At the same time, the wrath of a demon named Jharasura was increasing. People were very upset with that monster. To free the people from him, there was a fierce battle between Lord Narasimha and Jharasur and Lord Narasimha killed the demon.

While dying, Jharasur realized his mistakes and asked for forgiveness from God. He prayed as his last wish that he wanted to serve God by always remaining at His feet in the form of water. Lord Narasimha accepted his prayer. It is believed that from then till today, Jharasur flows in the cave in the form of a waterfall and keeps anointing the feet of the Lord and that is why it was named 'Jharni Narasimha' Dham.
