State Bureau, Ranchi. The Forest and Environment Department has prepared a plan for the new forest policy in the state. Indian Forest Service officials included in the 31-member nodal group have to give suggestions for this. The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests has instructed all the officers to maintain ecological balance in the forest area.

Providing adequate food for wildlife by expanding pastureland is a priority of the department. Due to increasing incidents of violence between elephants and humans in recent times, the department has set a target of taking concrete action for this in the new policy.

The nodal group has been asked to prepare a report in view of the incidents that have happened in recent times. Suggestions will be given in the new policy to further strengthen the monitoring and management system in the forest area with the help of technical equipment.

Will strengthen the quick response team

The QRT of the department has the task of reaching there as soon as there is information about the arrival of wild animals in the populated area. QRT reached Chaibasa after the elephant entered the area but could not tranquilize it. Now there will be trained experts to tranquilize with QRT.

Caller ID will be installed to monitor predatory animals

Last year, three people had lost their lives in leopard attacks in many districts including Garhwa. The leopard was caught and released back into the forest. The same leopard again came to the populated area and started attacking people. Now the department has planned to install collar ID after tranquilizing all such predatory creatures. With this, monitoring of predatory creatures can be done easily.

Will make people living in forest areas partners

The Forest and Environment Department has made a plan to connect the local people, especially the youth, with employment oriented programs in security and forest management.

Chyawanprash is a part of every Indian's life, it reduces diseases and increases energy.
