No rain in NCR now, clear sky and sunshine
According to the latest update from the Meteorological Department, there was light rain and thundershowers in Delhi-NCR on February 18, which was caused by a weak western disturbance. But since February 19, the weather has cleared and there is no major possibility of rain for the next several days.
According to IMD, a rise of 3-4 degrees in maximum temperature is possible in the plains of north-west India in the next 7 days. The minimum temperature may also gradually increase by 2-3 degrees. This gives the impression of a pre-monsoon like situation, while February is still going on.
situation of last few days
On February 18, the maximum temperature in Delhi was between 26-28 degrees and light rain had given some relief to the people. But now the Western Disturbance has weakened and its impact is mainly limited to the Himalayan regions. Dry and hot weather has returned to the plains.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) is currently in the 'poor' category, which may moderate in the next few days. There is an alert of heavy rain in some states in South India (like Tamil Nadu, Kerala), but North India will remain dry.
