Kanpur Elevated Track Gets Rs 35.87 Crore For Land Acquisition, Compensation Will Be Given Soon

Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. The government released the budget for land acquisition for the Anwarganj elevated railway track project. On Friday, the government provided an amount of Rs 35 crore 87 lakh 38 thousand to the Public Works Department.

Compensation distribution will be started by acquiring land from this budget. District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh said that about 22,306 square meters of land will be acquired for the approximately 17 kilometer long railway track.

The total cost of this project is estimated to be around Rs 1115 crore and the target has been set to complete it by the year 2027. With the construction of this elevated track, the problem of 18 level crossings within the city will be eliminated.
