Jagran correspondent, Palwal. Khaki has once again been tainted in the district. A city hotel operator has made serious allegations of extortion against the in-charge and other employees of Bhawan Kund Sector-2 police post under the city police station.
The victim alleges that he had to close his business after being fed up with the illegal extortion and hooliganism of the policemen. The accused has also given evidence of policemen demanding bribe to higher officials. Based on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against a total of four policemen including the outpost in-charge.
In this case, the victim Hasan, a resident of Omaxe City Phase 2, told that he used to run Panchavati Hotel and Guest House in Alhapur. According to the complaint, on October 17, 2025, head constable Manoj and SPO Sundar from Bhawan Kund outpost came to his hotel and said that outpost in-charge Praveen was calling him.
Asking for money in the name of Diwali
The policemen demanded Rs 30,000 from him in the name of Diwali. When he refused to come along and give the money, he was threatened with closing the hotel. Hasan alleges that he went to the post out of fear. At the post he found in-charge Praveen, head constable Manoj and SPO Sunder.

The policemen demanded money from him. Due to fear, he paid about Rs 12,500 in installments. The policemen told that they are not keeping this money in their pockets, they have to give the boxes of sweets and liquor bottles in the office. A total of Rs 2.5 lakh has to be paid to his post.
The complainant said that even after this the policemen continued to demand recovery from him. On December 12, outpost in-charge Praveen again came to his hotel and started taking him to the outpost. When he asked the reason, the in-charge said that if you want to run a hotel, you will have to pay money, otherwise your hotel will be locked.
The post in-charge tortured
After this, the post in-charge called him to his personal room and tortured him. The in-charge said that he was dying of hunger. The aggrieved hotel operator should file a false complaint against anyone so that money can be earned. The in-charge fixed Rs 15 thousand per month and also demanded girls from him. Hasan told that due to fear he gave a bribe of Rs 25 thousand to Praveen on different occasions.
According to Hasan, after this, on December 24, there was a dispute between a customer and an employee in the hotel. Instead of solving the matter, ASI Subhash threatened to send the hotel owner Hasan to jail in a fake case of rape and demanded money.

Gave bribe due to fear of going to jail
The victim alleges that due to fear of going to jail, he borrowed money from his relative at 1.30 in the night and gave a bribe of Rs 10,000. According to the victim, due to the recovery of these policemen, he had to stop his ongoing work on December 31. He has solid evidence of every transaction and conversation.
Hasan has also attached a pendrive with his complaint, which allegedly contains video recordings of bribes and threats by all these policemen. The victim has clearly said that if anything happens to him or his family, these four policemen will be responsible for it.
