Jagran correspondent, Bulandshahr. Dibai Kotwali police arrested five miscreants of the cattle theft gang along with two stolen buffaloes. After the press conference in the police line, the act of serving a feast to these accused by the policemen is in the news.
Usually criminals tremble at the name of police, but here the scene was different. As soon as SP Dehat's press conference after arresting the accused of buffalo theft ended, the policemen 'sweetened the mouth' of the thieves. The guardians of the law were seen serving samosas and rasgullas to the accused. Seeing this 'royal hospitality', people were surprised whether it was the human face of Khaki or the morale-boosting attitude of the criminals?
In the press conference, SP Dehat Dr. Tejveer Singh Tewatiya said that Dibai police and SWAT team arrested five accused of stealing cattle from village Daulpatpur Khurd. Two stolen buffaloes, pistol, cartridges and the pickup vehicle and bike used in the incident were recovered from them.
The accused are Talib and Jawar Sher alias Gangu, residents of Sherpur Bangar village of Anupshahr, Sandeep Kumar, resident of Buxra village of Anupshahr, Brajesh Kumar alias Bunty, resident of Mohalla Panch Vihar, Quarsi, Aligarh and Ankit Kumar, resident of Mohalla Holi Chowki. Told that cattle thieves used to do recce on bike during the day and at night they used to steal animals and take them out of the village on foot.
They used to sell the animals by taking them in a pickup vehicle already parked outside the village. The gang had stolen buffalo from village Mohammadpur Kala and village Hirapur Kalan of Dibai area. There are 11 criminal cases registered against Talib, eight against Jawar Sher, two each against Sandeep, Ankit and Brajesh.
The matter of feeding samosas to the accused is not cognizable. Will find out. Who served samosas and why? Even if samosas are served, the police also provide food and water to the accused who come to the police station.
Dr. Tejveer Singh, SP Dehat
