Due to human interference, people are being captured in rescue centers, alarm bells. file photo
Trilok Rawat, Ramnagar The freedom of the tiger, the king of the jungle who roams freely in the jungle, is in danger due to human interference. When he was supposed to spend his entire life living in the forest, he is now serving his sentence in prison. The tigers who roam freely in the forest are forced to live within the limited confines of the rescue centre. If the crowd of tigers in Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) Rescue Center continues to increase like this, then it will be a danger signal for the forest in future.
Tiger is our national animal and also the pride of the forests. Tourism and economy in Ramnagar are largely linked to the tiger. A large population of cities and rural areas is dependent on the tiger of the forest as employment. It would be no exaggeration to say that tourists coming to jungle safari are eager to see tigers.
The future of the tigers on whom Ramnagar's economy depends is now not a forest but a rescue centre. Except for one, most of the tigers in the rescue center are those who have been imprisoned in the rescue center after attacking humans who had come to the forest. After their continuous attacks on humans, they have to be kept in a rescue center.
It is a matter of concern that the king of the jungle is being considered a criminal and put behind the bars of the rescue centre. Whereas everyone knows that most of the incidents of human wildlife conflict are happening within the forest. People have to understand that the forest is the home of tigers. Therefore, the struggle will continue until human intrusion into the forest is stopped. If these voiceless people continue to be punished for human mistakes like this and they continue to go behind the bars, then the Save the Tiger slogan will remain just a slogan. -Deep Rajwar, wildlife expert and wildlife photographer
