Lucknow To Host All India Presiding Officers Conference, The Country's Largest Legislative Event

State Bureau, Jagran, Lucknow: Lucknow has got the hosting of the country's biggest legislative event. The 86th All India Presiding Officers Conference and the 62nd Conference of Secretaries of Legislative Bodies in India will be held in the Vidhan Bhavan premises from January 19-21.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh are coming to this conference organized to further strengthen democratic values ​​and parliamentary traditions. Governor Anandiben Patel will inaugurate it on January 19. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address its concluding session on January 21.

Speakers of Legislative Assemblies and Chairmen of Legislative Councils of all states and union territories will be present in the country's largest legislative conference. This event was earlier organized in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2015.

There will also be a conference of Assembly and Legislative Council secretaries from across the country on January 19. In which topics like role of secretaries of legislatures, digital processes and improvement in functioning in the changing political and administrative environment will be discussed.

In the session on January 20, issues related to the role of legislative institutions, efficiency, parliamentary decorum and strengthening democratic values ​​will be discussed at the level of presiding officers. Issues like traditional and modern techniques of running the House, discipline of proceedings, quality of legislative work, use of digital tools and Artificial Intelligence will be discussed in detail in the conference. The guests participating in the conference will be taken on a tour to Ayodhya, Kashi, Buddhist Circuit and other places of the state.

No entry for vehicles of officers and employees

In view of this three-day conference, the Principal Secretary Secretariat Administration Department has restricted the entry of government and private vehicles of officers and employees in all the buildings of the Secretariat between January 19 and 21. There will be a ban on entry of vehicles other than guests into Lok Bhawan, Bapu Bhawan, Main Bhawan, Lal Bahadur Shastri Bhawan and Niyojan Bhawan.

All the officers and employees of the Secretariat have been expected to come only by public transport, bus and metro to watch the conference. Information to this effect has been circulated among the Secretariat personnel through WhatsApp message. This order is mainly for Under Secretary and below officers.
