State Bureau, Lucknow. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has instructed to make Lakhpati Didi campaign a mass movement. He said that departmental coordination should be given priority in the campaign, so that women can be easily connected with training, skill development, financial literacy, marketing facilities, bank loans, insurance, digital payments and entrepreneurship development. After connecting women with groups, income generating activities should also be developed.
He said that this campaign will not only strengthen the economic condition of their families by making women self-reliant, but will also strengthen the rural economy and provide new momentum to the state towards poverty alleviation, social equality and inclusive development.
To conduct the campaign, committees are being formed under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner at the divisional level, District Magistrate at the district level and Block Development Officer at the block level. Officers from various departments have been included in these committees.
The campaign will be reviewed quarterly by the divisional committee. The review will be done monthly by the district level committee and fortnightly by the block level committee. Digital monitoring system will also be implemented in the campaign.
