The Higher Education Department had formally given the green signal to the college to start the new course.
Akhil Vohra, Panchkula. Now students will not have to go to Chandigarh, Mohali, Ambala or other cities to study professional courses like MBA and MCA in the district. From the current academic session, both the courses are being started regularly in the Government Post Graduate (PG) College located in Sector-1.
The Higher Education Department had already formally given the green signal to the college to start MBA and MCA courses in the Government PG College, Panchkula.
Along with this, necessary permission has also been received from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The registration process for both the courses has been completed, due to which the college administration has taken the preparations to the final stage.
It is noteworthy that both these courses were to be started last year itself, but due to lack of permission from AICTE at that time, the plan could not go ahead.
Fee related details sent to AICTE
College Principal Shailja Chhabra said that both MBA and MCA courses will be conducted regularly from this academic session. Details regarding fees have already been sent to AICTE.
As soon as the fees are finalized, these courses will be opened on the education portal of the Higher Education Department, so that interested students can complete the application process. He said that necessary infrastructure, faculty and educational resources are being provided in the college, so that the students can get a better educational environment.
