Suresh Babu and Rajeshwari Devi
Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. New facts have emerged in the ultrasound report of the District Women's Hospital in the investigation of the case of birth of twins and a daughter. Due to the new facts, the problems of the staff of the women's hospital are going to increase. Investigation revealed that the ultrasound report conducted at the women's hospital also confirmed that the woman was pregnant with twins, in which the heartbeat of one was 126 and the other was 151.
Doctors say that in case the ultrasound test report mistakenly results in the formation of twins, there is not that much difference in their heartbeats. Due to this fact, it would be difficult for the staff of the women's hospital to deny the fact that it was not a twin, because this test was conducted when the woman was eight months pregnant.
Doctors say that at this time the structure of the fetus becomes visible in ultrasound. Suresh Babu, resident of Jigarena, Bhuta, had admitted his wife Rajeshwari Devi to the District Women's Hospital on December 8. The hospital staff delivered Rajeshwari on December 8 and handed over a daughter to Suresh.
There were reports of twins in two ultrasounds.
On this, she asked the hospital staff about the second child and cited the ultrasound done at the Women's Hospital on November 14 and the test done at the private Bareilly Ultrasound Center in Bhuta in September, because in both the test reports it was said that the pregnancy was of twins, but the hospital staff said that a daughter would be born.
Suresh has also complained about this to the Divisional Commissioner and CMO. Divisional Commissioner and CMO have assured to conduct investigation and take action. The members of the team formed by the Health Department to investigate this matter have also intensified the investigation. During investigation, it was revealed that Rajeshwari Devi had only two babies in her womb. One heartbeat was 126 per minute and the other was 151 per minute.
The report of the district hospital showed the baby as complete.
A similar report had also come in the investigation conducted at a private ultrasound center in Bhuta in September, in which it was reported that there were twins in the womb, but only one baby was breathing. Now it will be difficult for the staff of the women's hospital to deny this fact, because the report prepared by Dr. Chandraprakash Singh, senior radiologist of the women's hospital, has also shown the bones of the head, neck and legs of the fetus.
Based on this report, the victim's father Suresh Babu approached Divisional Commissioner Bhupendra S Chaudhary and expressed his apprehension that the people of the District Women's Hospital had stolen one of his babies and made him disappear somewhere.
Issued notice to operators of ultrasound centers and sought report
The case of Rajeshwari Devi, wife of Suresh Babu, resident of Jigarena, Bhuta, was in the headlines. Meanwhile, Akash, resident of Ambedkar Nagar locality of Izzatnagar, had admitted his wife to the District Women's Hospital. She had got the test done on October 11 at Osho Ultrasound in Tilak Colony, Subhashnagar, in which the report was given of only one baby, whereas after delivery, twins were born.
PCPNDT Nodal Officer Dr. Laiq Ahmed said that notices have been issued to both these ultrasound operators. It has been asked that on what basis did they prepare this report and who is the radiologist posted there? At the same time, regarding the case of Suresh Babu's wife, a detailed ultrasound report has been sought from CMS Dr. Tribhuvan Prasad.
Questions raised on CCTV footage
In the case of Rajeshwari, a resident of Jigarena, Bhuta, having twins and the birth of a daughter, the officials of the District Women's Hospital also searched the CCTV footage, but no clue was found. Due to this, questions are also being raised on the CCTV footage of the hospital. Let us tell you, the same case was reported in the District Women's Hospital in the year 2012 also.
CMO Dr. Vishram Singh was directed to investigate this matter. The report has not been received yet, as soon as it is received. On that basis it will be decided what further steps should be taken.
- Bhupendra S Chaudhary, Divisional Commissioner
Investigation of this matter is going on. A team has already been formed for this. She is also interrogating the people concerned. The team members have been directed to conduct a fair and transparent investigation, so that the truth can be revealed to everyone.
