Police station in-charge Arun Kumar Rai was shot in his right temple at his residence in the Kuthound police station premises on Friday night, December 5. The bullet was fired from his service revolver only. Meanwhile, Meenakshi Sharma, a constable working in Dial-112, came out of his room shouting. He was declared dead in the hospital. Then his wife Maya Devi had filed a case of murder against the female constable. The police sent him to jail on December 7.
Meenakshi was planning to run away to Meerut
After the incident, Meenakshi reached Orai by bus and was planning to escape to Meerut but before that the surveillance team traced her mobile number and arrested her. When she saw Arun Kumar Rai in an injured condition, she ran away and his colleague, the constable standing outside, had already run away. After this she became upset. When she couldn't think of anything, she reached Madhaugarh Tiraha on foot and took a bus from there and came straight to Orai bus stand. Meanwhile, upon receiving the news of the death of police station in-charge Arun Kumar Rai and Meenakshi going there, the body of Superintendent of Police Dr. Durgesh Kumar was buried there. Before he could run away, they deployed a team, traced his mobile number and arrested him from the bus stand. Meenakshi had told that she was going to Meerut, before switching off the phone the police personnel caught her.
Many police personnel were unable to escape from the spell of Meenakshi.
Meenakshi had come from Meerut on the day of the incident. After this he called a constable of the police station to take him to Kuthund. The constable, under her spell, immediately came to the place told by her with his bike. After this, in the night itself he took Meenakshi to outside the Kuthund police station. Where he left Meenakshi on the road leading from the village to Arun Kumar Rai's residence. After this he stood at a deserted place on the road and started waiting for her to return. Three mobile phones and four SIMs were found from female constable Meenakshi. When call details were taken out, more than 100 calls had been made to Arun Kumar Rai in 72 hours. Which also includes WhatsApp calls. It is being verified. When Meenakshi's mobile numbers were checked, it was found that she had been talking to the sub-inspector and even the policemen of many police stations. Numbers of constables from Konch, Nadigaon, Kuthound and Orai were found in the phone.
Meenakshi had stayed in the police station incharge's residence for 7 days.
The police station in-charge was a native of Rajnauli village of Ghanghata police station area of Sant Kabir Nagar district. His family lives in B-117 Awas Vikas Colony Vikas Nagar Extension near Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur district. Police sources say that the female constable, resident of village Dandupur of Falavada police station of Meerut district, was staying at the residence of the police station in-charge for about a week. She was posted in Konch and was absent from duty for 11 days.
Meenakshi used to have three mobile phones
