Meeting of Official Language Implementation Sub Committee in DSTPS
Jagran Correspondent, Durgapur: The 14th meeting of the Official Language Implementation Sub-Committee was held on Friday with the aim of strengthening the effective implementation of the official language Hindi in Durgapur Steel Thermal Power Station (DSTPS) Andal of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). The meeting was presided over by Chief General Manager and Project Head Ram Pravesh Sah. At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy General Manager (Human Resources) Shrikant Gedala welcomed all the present members. Hindi officer Ismail Mian conducted the meeting as per the scheduled agenda. In his presidential address, Ram Pravesh Shah laid special emphasis on maximum, simple and effective use of the official language Hindi in official work. He said that Hindi is a powerful medium to make our work simple, clear and effective. Continuous use of Hindi not only facilitates office work but also strengthens mutual communication, coordination and understanding. He called upon all officers and employees to promote the use of Hindi in daily work, correspondence and records. The minutes of the previous 13th meeting were confirmed in the meeting. After this, the quarterly progress report till September 2025 was discussed in detail, in which Hindi correspondence, comments, language training, departmental official language inspection and use of Hindi in official work were reviewed. Apart from this, the status of compliance of the decisions taken in the meeting of the City Official Language Implementation Committee (NARAKAS), Durgapur held on 22 December was also discussed.
Finally Senior Manager (CSR) Mohd. The meeting concluded successfully with a vote of thanks from Shamim Ahmed. Many senior officers, managers and employees including the General Manager (R) of the project were present in the meeting.
