Students' mini bus collides with divider
Samvad Sutra, Barhi (Hazaribagh). A tragic road accident took place on Saturday on GT Road located at Panchmadhav under Barhi police station. A mini bus full of students going to appear for matriculation examination hit a bike rider. After this the uncontrolled bus collided with the divider.
In the accident, the villager riding the bike died on the spot, while five candidates traveling in the mini bus were injured. The deceased has been identified as Jaiprakash Mehta (father – Nanak Mehta), a 55-year-old resident of Chechakpi village of Barkatha police station area. It was told that he was going from his village Chechakapi to his new home Romi on a bike, when this accident happened.
Chaotic atmosphere during treatment
According to the information received, all the injured candidates are students of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Public School, Malkoko, who were going by mini bus to the examination center located at Maa Vindhyavasini B.Ed College, Padma. After the accident, the injured were immediately admitted to the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Barhi, where there was an atmosphere of chaos during treatment.
The injured include Khalid Raja (16) (father – Abdul Qudus), Javed Akhtar (16) (father – Mohd. Jabbar), Farhan Raja (17) (father – Hashim Ansari), Ilyas Alam (15) (father – Kalim Ansari) and Aman Paswan (16) (father – Sakaldev Paswan).
Three students are in critical condition
The condition of three of these students is said to be critical, although according to doctors, all the students are out of danger and their treatment is going on. As soon as information about the incident was received, Barhi BDO Jaipal Mahato, police station in-charge Inspector Vinod Kumar, MLA representative Ramesh Thakur, DS of Sub-Divisional Hospital Dr. Prakash Gyani and many social workers and public representatives reached the hospital and helped in arranging the treatment of the injured.
Social worker Sikandar Kumar and local people played an important role in taking the injured to the hospital. The police have sent the body of the deceased for post-mortem and have started investigating the case. The causes of the accident are being investigated.
