Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad. The inaugural special train, which opened from Bhopal to Dhanbad on Tuesday evening dressed like a bride, got delayed by hours due to welcome at different stations. Instead of arriving at 7:20 pm, it arrived in Dhanbad after 11 pm, more than three and a half hours late.
MP Dhulu Mahato, who was ready to be welcomed since the evening, reached the station late in the night, where a welcome ceremony was organized on platform eight. The MP alone welcomed the new train. Local MLA Raj Sinha did not attend the welcome ceremony.
Due to late arrival, the special train leaving from Dhanbad for Bhopal at 11 pm also got delayed. The regular train from Dhanbad to Bhopal, which runs thrice a week, will run from March 1 and from Bhopal to Dhanbad from February 28. DRUCC members Ashish Ambasht, Milton Partha Sarathi and others were present in the program.
Bhopal will be directly connected to Dhanbad, transport service will be better: DRM
DRM Akhilesh Mishra said that this train will directly connect Dhanbad to Bhopal. This will improve the transport service between Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh. There is shortage of trains in CIC section of Dhanbad Railway Division. The new train will provide better transportation facilities to the passengers of this region. This train has stoppages in District Mehnagar Dhanbad Railway Division. Will provide trains from Dhanbad to Delhi and Bengaluru: MP Dhulu Mahato said that the effort has been completed by getting the train from Bhopal. Talks have been held with DRM regarding running direct trains from Dhanbad to Delhi and Bangalore also. Dhanbad will soon get new trains for these cities.
