A case of fraud of Rs 4 lakh nine thousand from a soldier has come to light.

Jagran correspondent, Ghazipur. A case of fraud of Rs 4 lakh nine thousand by cyber thugs from a soldier working in the Indian Navy by making digital arrest has come to light. The victim has lodged an FIR at Nandganj police station. Dhirendra Singh Yadav, resident of Kusumhi Khurd, is currently working in the Indian Navy in Visakhapatnam.

He told in the complaint that from December 10 to December 14, cyber thugs had kept him under digital arrest. Due to fear, he transferred Rs 1 lakh 9 thousand from his account through UPI and Rs 3 lakh through IMPS to different accounts. On December 15, the victim lodged a complaint on cyber crime helpline 1930.

Despite this, the thugs are pressurizing him to send Rs 3 lakh again by calling and sending messages from three different mobile numbers. The fraudsters say that on sending additional amount the entire amount will be returned. The victim alleged that he was mentally disturbed due to continuous threatening calls. Nandganj police has registered an FIR and started taking further action.
