NCERT Book Controversy: Due To The Strict Stance Of The Supreme Court, There Is Panic In The Education Ministry, Preparation For Action

Jagran Bureau, New Delhi. There was a stir in the Education Ministry on Thursday in view of the tough stance of the Supreme Court regarding the inclusion of controversial content related to the judiciary in the new social science textbook of class 8 of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). Everyone seemed ready to apologize but the situation now is such that an apology will not help.

Therefore, before giving the minutes to the Supreme Court, there is a preparation to identify the responsible person and take action. On Thursday, meetings continued throughout the day from the Ministry of Education to NCERT.

It is noteworthy that the Supreme Court has asked for all the minutes of the meetings related to preparing the textbook. After the minutes come, it will become clear that if the subject matter was included without the approval of the committee, that too will become clear. Following the instructions given by the Supreme Court on Thursday, the Education Ministry has immediately ordered the NCERT Director to investigate the entire matter.

It has also been asked to explain at whose instance and how the controversial subject matter related to the judiciary was included. It is believed that after receiving the investigation report, the Ministry will also take action against the people concerned on this matter. Although NCERT is autonomous, the possibility is not being ruled out that senior officials of the ministry may also come under its purview.
