Drivers waiting for PUC at the pollution testing center at the petrol pump in Budh Vihar. Awakening
Digital Desk, New Delhi. Strict rules have been implemented from Thursday (December 18) to control increasing air pollution in the national capital. Now vehicles without valid Pollution Control Certificate (PUCC) will not get fuel at petrol pumps.
Along with this, non-BS VI standard vehicles registered outside the capital will also not get entry in Delhi. Apart from this, 50 percent employees in all private and government offices will have to work from home. Apart from this, the Group-4 restrictions imposed by the Air Quality Management Commission will remain in force.

Who got exemption from restrictions?
These restrictions implemented by the Delhi government will not have any impact on emergency services and essential works. This is because despite strict restrictions, some relaxations have been given under Grape-4. According to news agency PTI, the Delhi government has exempted ambulances, fire tenders and other emergency vehicles from these restrictions.
Delhi's Rekha Gupta government issued an official notice saying, "Ambulances, fire tenders, police vehicles and other emergency response units running on petrol or CNG will continue to function without any interruption; we ensure that public safety and medical services are not impacted by these restrictions."
Emergency vehicles like ambulances, fire tenders and frontline workers, including those working in hospitals, departments involved in the fight against air pollution, fire departments and other essential services, will be exempted from the work from home order.
New rules in Delhi amid Group 4
It is known that after the air quality in the capital was recorded in severe category for three consecutive days, the Commission for Air Quality Management imposed Grape-4 restrictions in Delhi-NCR from December 13, but the current restrictions imposed by the Delhi government are in addition to the Grape restrictions.
Apart from the Group 4 restrictions, all offices have been instructed to ensure that 50 percent of their employees will work from home. Apart from this, the Delhi government has also imposed 'no fuel' rule on vehicles without valid pollution control certificate (PUCC).
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's average air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 334 at 7 am on Thursday, which is in the 'very poor' category of air.
