Jagran correspondent, Dadri. Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, who were missing from home for three days, committed suicide by consuming poison on Wednesday night. He was found unconscious on the roadside near Dhummanikpur bypass in Badalpur police station area. When they were not found after a long search, the family members lodged a missing report in the police station fearing something untoward. Police suspect suicide due to love affair. The family members are refusing to know the reason.
At 9 pm on Wednesday night, passersby saw both of them lying unconscious on the roadside near Dhummanikpur bypass. The police immediately admitted him to Badalpur Community Health Center (CHC). The girl died there. Before being referred in critical condition, the young man told the police that the girl was his sister-in-law, he had brought her from Meerut and both of them had consumed poison (sulfas).
The young man also died on the way. The police got information about both of them missing from their house when a call was received on the mobile phone of the youth's uncle Rajendra. The youth was identified as Ashish (32), son of Bedu, resident of village Ujaida, Niwari, Ghaziabad and the girl was identified as Anshika (19), resident of village Pathauli, Sarurpur, Meerut. Police station in-charge Amit Bhadana said that the family members have not made any allegations. Both of them had consumed some poisonous substance, due to which they became unconscious and fell on the roadside.
Brother-in-law took sister-in-law away from in-laws' house on some pretext
Ashish had gone to his in-laws' house in village Pathauli on 21 December. On December 22, he took his sister-in-law away on some pretext. The next day both of them did not return home. When the family members called Ashish's house, they came to know about this. The distressed family members were searching for him.
Ashish was married to Anshika's sister about six years ago. He has a three year old daughter. Earlier he used to work as a salesman in a factory. About two years ago, he left his job and started living in the village. He used to do small jobs for people.
Police identified both of them from their mobile phones. Police station in-charge said that during the search, a mobile phone was found, and the calls received on it helped in identifying the two people.
