Digital Desk, Darbhanga. The government has taken a big step towards digitalizing the facilities related to farming for farmers. Now the 'Farmer Registry' being created for the farmers will help in getting the installment of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi. Besides, it will also prove to be a milestone in the making and renewal of Kisan Credit Card (KCC).
No need to go to office for KCC
KCC holders will get the biggest benefit from this digital registry being prepared by the government. Till now, farmers used to take a lot of time to visit various places and submit land documents (Fard/Jamabandhi) for KCC loan. But now banks will have complete digital data of the farmer available, due to which paperless loan can be approved without any lengthy paperwork.
Instant verification, correct loan limit and one ID
Banks will be able to see the farmer's land and crop records with one click. The loan amount will be decided depending on which crop the farmer is growing. This registry is being seen as a 'Unique Farmer ID'. Its objective is to protect the farmers from middlemen and provide direct benefits. After formation of Farmer Registry, farmers will also get the following benefits.
It will come directly into your account without any interruption. In case of loss, insurance claim money will be received quickly and transparently. There will be no need for separate verification while selling grains in the market.
Problem due to error in name of beneficiary and his father
In Darbhanga, Bihar, farmers are facing problems like missing accounts on the Jamabandi receipt of land, errors in the name of the beneficiary and his father, receipt of land in the name of ancestors and non-submission of land. It is being told that due to errors in land records and inaccuracy in name in Aadhaar, many farmers are not able to avail the benefits of government schemes.
Trying to solve the problem by running a special campaign
The government has tried to solve this problem by running special campaigns, but no improvement is being seen on the ground reality. The government is making digital identity cards for farmers.
This is a scheme to provide benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and agricultural schemes to the farmers. The government claims that with this, farmers will get benefits from all the schemes in an easy and transparent manner.
District Agriculture Officer of Darbhanga, Dr. Siddharth said that the work of the third phase for making Farmer ID has started from February 2. It is necessary to make Farmer ID for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi benefits. It is mandatory to have your own gathering. At many places, problems like inaccuracy in land name, zero Khata-Khesra, zero Rakwa etc. are being seen. Minor inaccuracies are immediately rectified by the Halka staff in the camp.
