Digital Desk, Udhampur. On the occasion of New Year, the number of devotees has started increasing at Vaishno Devi Dham. People want to start the new year with the darshan of Mother Goddess. The Shrine Board has also made all preparations to control the crowd of pilgrims and keeping in view the facilities.
The Shrine Board has issued a note on the Maa Vaishno Devi website, in which it has been told about the facilities being provided in the building and the special arrangements made on the New Year.
Passengers will get smart lockers
According to the Shrine Board, smart locker facility for the pilgrims is available in the building, Room No. 04, Waiting Hall (Ram Mandir), Durga Bhawan, Parvati Bhawan, Gate No. 03 and Adhkunwari. This facility in Room No. 04 is free for those passengers who have confirmed booking for SSVP, Atka Aarti, Nav Chandi Path, Group Atka, Katra-Panchi Helicopter and Jammu-Bhawan-Jammu packages. To avail the free facility, passengers will have to get their booking receipt stamped at the Reception Counter, Room No. 04.
Facilities will be available 24 hours
Free accommodation facilities at the building
Free accommodation (Free Dharamshala) is provided to the devotees by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) at Vaishno Devi Dham. This facility is provided to the devotees at Niharika Complex, Ardhkunwari, Sanjhi Chhat and Bhawan (Durga Bhawan) of Katra, which is on first-come-first-served basis. Along with this, facilities like blankets and lockers are also provided to the devotees.
Special train will run till January 5
In view of the increasing demand of passengers, Railways has also taken a big initiative. Jammu Division of Northern Railway has decided to extend the period of operation of special reserved train number 04082/04081. Now this train will run till January 5. Train 04081 running from New Delhi to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra will run till January 4, 2026 instead of December 31. Train number 04082 will run till January 5 instead of January 1.
