State Bureau, Lucknow. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has ordered an investigation into the matter of rats roaming in the orthopedic ward of the Autonomous State Medical College, Gonda. Describing the matter as serious, he has given instructions to form a committee and conduct an investigation. The committee will have to submit the investigation report within a week.
The Deputy Chief Minister has instructed the Medical College Administration to clean the wards and prevent the spread of animals. Apart from this, it has also been asked to maintain proper arrangements for protection from flies and mosquitoes.
He said that negligence in this will not be tolerated. Let us tell you that the video of four-five rats roaming on the cupboard, drip stand and oxygen pipeline kept near the patient's bed in the ward of the medical college had gone viral on the internet media. A patient is also seen sleeping on the bed there. This video went viral on Wednesday. After this, SP President Akhilesh Yadav also raised questions on the arrangements of the medical college by sharing the video.
