Communication Associate, Veerpur (Supaul). There has been a stir due to the instructions given by the Mechanical Division Veerpur to the people living illegally in the Railway Colony located in Bhimnagar Ward No. 09, to vacate the quarters within 7 days.
Executive Engineer Mechanical Division Veerpur Ankit Kumar has issued an order to about 110 families to vacate their houses within a week.
During the action, the department has also taken action against those who had not paid the electricity bill for a long time.
Electricity supply to such consumers has been disconnected. According to the information, the department had already given notice to the people living in the colony to vacate their houses, but now the action has been started after the deadline.
It is known that earlier on January 21, 2025, a notice was issued by the Assistant Engineer Mechanic in Bhimnagar ordering to vacate the quarters within 5 days but till now people have not vacated.
At the same time, in Bhimnagar Ward No. 2, electricity has been cut to 7 houses due to outstanding electricity bills. Here, huge resentment is being seen among the people affected by the notice. Local residents say that the instruction to vacate houses within 7 days in the harsh winter season is inhumane.
People raised the question that if they go with their families and children in this cold, where should they go?
